A research tool, not an answer machine.
Stock Tracker is a personal project for organizing trading-related research and analysis. I’m working on decision-oriented interfaces alongside the data and validation questions that make those interfaces credible.
The emphasis is on supporting investigation: what information is available, how it relates to a decision, and what needs further checking. It is not an autonomous trading system.
The interface is only half the system.
Present context, not just a signal
Interface work explores how to bring relevant information together around a decision. A clean screen should make uncertainty easier to notice, rather than make incomplete analysis look definitive.
Respect what was knowable at the time
A central review topic is point-in-time data integrity: historical analysis should distinguish when something happened from when that information became available. Future information must not quietly enter a past decision.
When was it available?
Keep timing and data provenance visible.
What does it support?
Check assumptions before drawing conclusions.
What needs attention?
Surface gaps instead of disguising them as confidence.
Treat failure behavior as product behavior
Data gaps and integration problems belong in the design discussion, not just the logs. The project’s validation work considers when a result should be withheld or clearly marked as incomplete.
Keep the prototype’s scope clear.
Work includes a decision-interface prototype and investigations into the underlying research infrastructure. End-to-end data and integration behavior remain part of the validation scope; a working UI is not proof that the full analytical pipeline is correct.
The design question: how can software help someone reason more carefully, instead of simply giving a more confident-looking answer?
This project is in development. No investment returns, validated trading performance, production readiness, or live trade-execution capabilities are claimed here.
